Impressive but missing the old features. I will still buy a Nokia.
I have been a faithful fan of Nokia, resisted switching to an iphone or android eventhough most of my peers have done so. Instead, I moved to a Blackberry when Nokia went quiet on their innovation. Finally, when Lumia 800 is out, I have decided to give it a try again eventhough I hated a touch screen ( my fingers don't seems to get those letters right all the time!).
Very impressive in design, screen resolution is excellent, far better than the iphone. It could be better if it has both touch screen and keypad for user like me! Am still struggling to get familiarize with its features. I am least impressed with the battery life, have to recharge every half a day, this is the major down side!
I feel Nokia is trying too hard to win over the iphone and android fans by capitalizing on the social network features that it misses out on its 'easy user interface' features eg contacts, mark all, delete all features. Well, didn't the 'human technology' makes Nokia the no 1 phone in the 1st place? I hope Nokia will bring back all the 'simple but user friendly' features in their next release. Also, for privacy concern, I would prefer an option to choose where I keep record of my phone contacts, instead of auto-sync them to my window live account.
Having said that, I believe Nokia will make a come back and win over the rest if it continues to innovate and listen to the ground. It has many good products in the past, they should continue to work harder!

Good to use and nice appearance but battery life is fatal.
Please solve the battery life problem.

Beauty Phone with Unique Interface
The phone build is very well & nice to hold..... The touch sensitivity is very nice & the OS is very fluid.... The battery life is getting better after the new update and it last for 1 day medium usage which is more than enough for a smartphone... the downside is the speaker volume is quiet & the camera is average only...

Lumia is worth the money!!!
Lumia is easy to use and its design is good too! Nice colors and doesn't crack like the iphone when i drop it. it's durable, touch screen is good, features are easy to use. battery life is okay, as long as you don't leave all your applications and data running at the same time! battery life is also better than iphone. great for emails, social networking and camera's excellent as well!

The best Windows Phone to date!
I am a current user of Windows Phone. Before owning the Lumia 800, I used Samsung Omnia 7. I am also a fan of Windows Phone, and I must say that comparing Samsung Omnia 7 and Nokia Lumia 800, the Lumia is just so much better!
I like its screen, and its battery life. It has the best hardware design out there. It also runs smoother than the Omnia 7 (which is already very smooth). Basically there is nothing much to compalaint about this phone!

Great Phone but missing couple of feature
This is an awesome phone, very useful in terms of basic and advance phone features as we have seen in all smartphones, but the only thing that prevents me to rate this with 5 stars, was that it lacks Internet Tethering capability and of course for music lover like me, Sound EQ. Like in previous Nokia smartphone, currently I still have my N8, its media player is equipped with such feature and the other WP7 I have has the Sound Enhancer application. I hope Nokia & Microsoft will be able to incorporate these two important features in the next update.

OK... BUT
The battery runs out too fast but overall it is the easiest phone for me to use.
