Troubleshooting for HERE Drive / HERE Drive+

With HERE Drive, you get voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation instructions for the country or region to which your SIM card is registered.

With HERE Drive+, you get voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation in all supported countries across the globe.

No, the country map and license are separate from each other. In non-Nokia Windows phones the supported regions with HERE Drive depend on the country code of the SIM card. You are licensed to use the navigation only in the supported regions. You can check your supported regions in Settings > Navigation license in HERE Drive.

If you have Nokia Lumia phone with HERE Drive+ there's no restrictions with navigation support, navigation is supported in all countries for which navigable map data is available.

The text-to-speech feature lets you hear the street names when navigating with HERE Drive. To use the feature, you need to install the correct speech support both at the operating system level and in the HERE Drive application:

Installing speech support for operating system

• Select Settings > Speech > Speech language.
• Select and download the desired speech language.

Installing speech support for HERE Drive

• In Drive select Settings > Navigation Voice and select the desired voice pack where the description shows "announced street names".
  

Note that you need to install first the operating system speech support before the corresponding Drive voice pack can be installed.

In HERE Drive, tap the options icon, and Settings > Navigation license.

You can adjust the route settings in HERE Drive after you have selected your destination:

• Set your destination.
  
• Tap the route options menu bar.
  
• Set the desired route options and select Back to return to the previous menu.
  
• Select Start to start the navigation.
  

This means that HERE Drive is not supported in your country. HERE Drive for non-Nokia phones is supported only in selected countries (UK, US, Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany and France).

In Nokia Lumia phones you should use HERE Drive+ published by Nokia Corporation.

HERE Drive published by Navteq Europe BV is intended only for non-Nokia Windows phones.

The name of the Drive application has changed from Nokia Drive to HERE Drive. If you have installed an update from Store lately, you can find your Drive application in the applications list under H.

There are restrictions in the navigation support when using HERE Drive in non-Nokia Windows Phones and in some low-end Lumia phones. The navigation license check in these devices is based on the SIM card. You get an error if you don't have a SIM card in your phone or if your license doesn't allow navigation in your current region.

You can check the coverage area of your license in Settings > Navigation license.

Depending on the situation, you may get one of the errors below:

SIM Card not found

• Check that you have SIM card inserted in your phone. SIM card is needed in non-Nokia Windows phones and in low-end Nokia Lumia phones which don't have global navigation support.

License mismatch. Your navigation license isn't valid in this country or area.

• In Nokia Lumia phones, you have changed the original SIM card to another SIM card from another country. You need to use the original SIM card or SIM card from the same country that was used when first starting HERE Drive.
• In non-Nokia phones, you have SIM card from a country that is not supported. You need to use SIM card from a country for which navigation is supported.

No navigation. Navigation isn't available in your country or area.

• SIM card is from a non-navigable country.

No navigation. Your route goes through a country or area that isn't covered by your license.

• When a route goes through a country or area that is not covered by the license, or the end or start regions are not covered by the license, turn-by-turn navigation is disabled but a route overview can still be shown.
  

Currently HERE Drive navigation is available in the countries below for non-Nokia Windows Phones. The supported regions are based on the MCC code (Mobile Country Code) of the SIM card. The table below shows the supported countries, the corresponding MCC codes and the regions available for each country code.

You can check your supported regions in HERE Drive by selecting Settings > Navigation license.

If you have moved out from your current position on the HERE Drive map, you can go back to your position by tapping the small green arrow on the bottom left.
