Your privacy in Nokia Mail and Nokia Chat
You can register for Nokia Mail/Chat powered by Yahoo! (“the Service”) by creating a Nokia account or signing into the Service with your existing Nokia account. You can also use other Nokia services with the same Nokia account.
Does Nokia provide some information to Yahoo!?
In order to provide you with the Nokia Mail/Chat service, Nokia needs to provide Yahoo! with some of your registration data, such as first name, last name, gender, date of birth and country of residence. If you make any changes to the registration data, the changes will be visible also in the context of the Nokia Mail/Chat service(s).
Also, when migrating from the existing Nokia Mail or Nokia Chat service, you can continue to use the Service with your existing list of friends and address book without disruptions similarly when the Service is provided by Yahoo!.
What does powered by Yahoo! mean?
Your chat and email transactions and content, including chat messages, email, attachments and header information (for example to, from, subject, cc) as well as your email and chat settings will be processed by Yahoo!. Updates to your friends lists may also be synchronised with Yahoo!.
Also, Yahoo! may continue to provide you with the capability to enable your use of other Yahoo! services with your Nokia account.
In case Nokia Mail or Chat service will in the future be offered by any party other than that defined above, your email and chat related information will be transferred to such a new party.
