   Music Player

With the Nokia 6230 phone’s Music Player, you can listen to music using the internal loudspeaker or a compatible headset, such as HDS-3.

In addition to listening to music, you can...

  • ... download music files from a compatible PC via a Cable, Bluetooth or Infrared connection.
  • ... buy more music with your phone from mobile Internet services.
  • ... personalize your phone by setting music files as ringing, wake-up and alert tones.

You can make a call or answer an incoming call while listening to music. During a call, the playback is stopped. The internal FM stereo radio can be used for listening to music, too.

With the music player, you can play various file formats, such as the popular MP3 compressed music files. The newer and more efficient AAC compression is also supported.

SP-MIDI is the most common format used in polyphonic ringing tones. This file format (as well as the ringing tones in the AMR format) is supported by your Nokia 6230 phone.

All the supported audio formats can be used as ringing tones and played with the Nokia 6230 music player. The files can be stored in the multimedia card. Approximately 20 songs in AAC format can be stored on a 32-MB multimedia card.

Note: Copyright protections may prevent some music and audio files from being copied, transferred or forwarded.
