   Bluetooth Technology

The phone supports Bluetooth wireless technology, which allows you to connect the phone to a compatible Bluetooth device within 10 meters. Unlike Infrared (IR), a Bluetooth wireless connection doesn’t need a line-of-sight to work. The Bluetooth connection can be subject to interference from obstructions such as walls or other electronic devices.

The phone supports also the Bluetooth SIM Access Profile. This Bluetooth profile allows you to connect to compatible devices, like the Nokia 610 car kit phone via the Bluetooth connection. When the SIM Access Profile profile is active, Remote SIM modeis shown on the phone display to indicate that the phone is disconnected from the GSM network, and thus, all phone functions are deactivated.

For compatibility between your phone and another Bluetooth device, consult the device’s documentation and your Nokia dealer. In some countries, there may be restrictions on using Bluetooth devices. Check with your local authorities.
