If Nokia Phone Browser recognizes your phone but you cannot see the Gallery inside the phone:

1. Check that there are no apostrophes in any folder name in the phone.
2. Disconnect the phone, open C:\Documents and the settings\username\phone browser. Open Tools > Folder options; check the view sheet to see that Show hidden files and folders is marked and Hide Protected Operating system files (Recommended) is unmarked. Then in the current folder delete the phonestatus.status file and also delete all the folders that use the phone (nick)name, like Nokia 6230 etc. Don’t delete the NokiaConfSet folder!
3. Open Windows Task Manager and kill DataLayer.exe.
4. Restart the computer.
5. Connect the phone and try again.
