E-mail

E-mail is the way the world communicates, and mobile e-mail is setting it free from the desktop computer!

  • The Nokia 6800 messaging device supports POP3 and IMAP4 protocols for receiving and SMTP protocol for sending e-mail.
  • Inbox, Sent Items and Archive folders hold up to 50 messages each (if each message is 5KB)
  • Drafts folder holds up to 10 messages.
  • An individual message can be up to 30KB, which makes it a good choice when longer messages are needed.

E-mail requires network support. For further details and necessary settings, contact your service provider.

Tip

With mobile e-mail, big messages come in a small package: one 5KB message is equivalent to about one page of A4.
E-mail, like many other features of the Nokia 6800, uses shared memory. For more information, see the glossary.
