Settings

Check with your service provider to get the settings for remote synchronization. You can receive the synchronization settings OTA as a text message. Synchronization settings received will appear on the display. Press Options and then select Details to view the settings first, Save to save them to your phone, or Discard to reject them.

To key in the settings manually, select Menu, Extras, Synchronization and Settings. In the Edit active Internet sync. settings menu, there are the following options:

  • Settings' name. Key in a name and press OK.
  • Data to be synchronized. Here you can mark the Calendar and/or your Contacts as the data to be synchronized.
  • Database addresses. Select Contacts database and/or Calendar database. Key in the address of the database.
  • User name. Key in the user name and press OK.
  • Password. Key in the password and press OK.
  • Synchronization server. Key in the name of the server and press OK.

WAP and Sync settings

Your synchronization settings may be different from the settings used for other WAP applications, so you may have to change the active settings before using WAP services again. You can select the active settings in the Service Options menu.
