Synchronizing from Your Phone
Synchronizing

Synchronization allows you to save your calendar and contacts data in a remote Internet server or in a compatible PC. If you have saved data in the remote Internet server, you can synchronize your phone by starting the synchronization from your phone.

You can also synchronize the data in your phone’s contacts and calendar to correspond with the data of a compatible PC by starting the synchronization from the PC. The contact data in your SIM card will not be synchronized.

Before synchronizing from your phone, you may need to do the following:
  • Subscribe to a synchronization service. For more information on availability and the synchronization service settings, contact your network operator or service provider.
  • Retrieve the synchronization settings from your network operator or service provider. See Settings for the Synchronization.
  • Set the connection settings you need for the synchronization.
To synchronize from the PC to your phone, use Nokia PC Sync in the PC Suite.
Note
Synchronizing to the remote server is a network service. Please contact your operator or service provider for the availability of this service.
Note
Answering an incoming call during synchronization will end the synchronization and you will need to re-start it.
