In classrooms across the United States and in parts of Africa, students are using mobile devices to develop the academic, analytic, and life skills they need to succeed.
The Mobile Learning Institute (MLI) run by Nokia and Pearson Education has engaged around 22,000 students and over 1,000 teachers. The program targets young people aged 11-18 from underprivileged backgrounds, who are increasingly becoming disengaged with traditional education methods. By using mobile phones to create films and express their opinions about their world, young people can reignite their hunger for learning.
