Nokia is collaborating with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and GoGreen (a non-profit environmental youth organization) on the Personal Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) project. With this system users measure their own environmental footprint and learn how they can reduce it by changing their behavior.

Over 100 students and teenagers in San Francisco are currently using this service to monitor their "greenness" by tracking the carbon emissions due to their transportation choices.
