Really cool phone, great battery life, BEST camera! I just made the switch from my iphone5 to the lumia 1020. The iphone froze all the time and the battery life was awful. With the lumia the battery life is WAY better, the camera and camera apps blow the iPhone out of the water and i love the bigger screen. As for WP 8 there was a slight learning curve but after 1 week of use it already feels like second nature. With the exception of losing the ability to iMessage, and PhotoStream with friends I don't miss anything about iOS. Way to go Nokia! August 1, 2013
The 41 Megapix camera is amazing. I moved from the iphone 4 to the Lumia 1020. The reason was the camera. It's way better than the one in the iPhone 5 for both pictures and videos. The screen is also better, clearer. We played the same movie from Netflix on an iphone 4s and the Lumia 1020 and the Lumia crushed the iphone. The platform is great. I know that windows 8 is in diapers, but it will improve and the app store grows everyday. I'm not missing out on anything as far as social media, e-mails, and games. The only thing I can't do right now is deposit checks by snapping a picture to my Paypal account. I'm sure that feature will be added to the app soon. August 6, 2013

The Lumia 1020 is amazing, even beyond the 41 MP camera with Zeiss optics The Nokia Lumia 1020 is simply an amazing device. With a classic aesthetic design that is comfortable in the hand, this device screams quality from the design and performance of this beautiful device. Of course, at the heart of this device is the world's most advanced and best smartphone camera. Whether discussing the crisp and clear pictures, the phenomenal zoom, the Carl Zeiss Tessar lens (actually 6 lenses), the incredible low-light performance, or the easy-to-use software that makes me look like a pro, this is truly a great device. As a father of two beautiful little girls, it used to be so hard to get a good shot of these very active and healthy kids, but not any more. More great shots, more great videos, and more time with them, instead of fidgeting or looking for a point-and-shoot camera. Whip out my phone, snap a pic, and play on! By the way, the videos are just as fanatastic. I love being able to easily zoom in and zoom out while recording a video. And then there is the sound. It is really "Wow!" I cannot describe it, you have to simply experience the sound for yourself. When a video is played back, it really is like you are there live. Of course, running Windows Phone as its platform of choice, I have a device that helps me to quickly and easily perform my everyday tasks with little effort and to keep up with those people who are important to me. Gone are the days of fidgeting with my phone instead of enjoying the people I'm with. Gone are missed chances, blurry photos, and shots of the dark.. I also enjoy the Nokia Camera Grip, which is pure genius. While originally I thought this grip would be bulky and a pain, it is now my everyday cover as it protects my device, extends my battery life, make the device extremely easy to grip, whether taking a picture or racking up points on my favorite Xbox games. It feels fantastic in my hands. It also properly weights my phone so it doesn't slip out of my shirt pocket or a side pants pocket, without a noticeable bulge in the pocket. The only issue I have with the Nokia Lumia 1020 is trying to keep my wife from stealing it! *lol* I think I see a Lumia 1020 in her near future! August 26, 2013
Android user for years, but no longer. I was an android user for years and constantly wasted my time wanting to tweak it and perfect it. I would waste hours rooting and downloading roms and finding apps to change my homescreen. So much time wasted. The moment I took the phone out of its package I new I had found something great. I set it up and got used to WP8 right away and now it is a device to help me get things done. No more wasting time trying to perfect the UI when all I needed was something that worked. Thanks for such a great product Nokia. August 8, 2013
The camera on this phone is magnificent!!!! The only reason this phone was purchased was because of its camera. I own the 920 and it served me well. When the 1020 was announced I was elated!! Being a photographer and carrying my dslr with me started to become a chore. I also hated that my cameras brought so much attention. After purchasing the 1020, I could capture things on the move without much notice, and edit them in Photoshop. I love street photography and this phone enables me to go out and capture subjects unknowingly. By doing this, I'm able to capture true emotion. I also love the business aspect of it as well. With Microsoft office, my team and I can keep up with transactions and how much we are spending and bringing in through excel. We are able to scan documents, write and edit contracts, and more right on our phones. Microsoft and Nokia has definitely hit the nail on the head with this product. Just wish that the 1520 had a 41mp camera. December 8, 2013
I owned an iPhone 5, but the Lumia 1020 trounces it in every category The camera is absolutely absurd, great quality in low light and I love the ability to zoom after the shot. The WP home screen is one of my favorite parts, with just enough custom ability while maintaining a gorgeous design. The games offered are fantastic, my personal favorites being Halo, Assassin's Creed and Rayman Jungle Run. I would highly recommend this phone, and the screen is visibly superior to the iPhone. The only downside I found is below average battery life, especially when playing games and taking pictures. Overall though, excellent phone, a whole new and great experience, especially for people switching from IOS. December 21, 2013
Great camera but missing a more robust shutter delay Really like the camera. On my wish list is a more robust shutter delay. The one setting doesn't give you time to get in front of the camera...hate family pictures with one member missing (holding the camera) August 25, 2013
