Before sending your device away

Your device is important to you, so we want to make sure that you don't have to send it away unless it is absolutely necessary. If there is no physical damage to your device, make sure that you have the latest software installed as it may fix the problem, and you don't have to part with your device. 

To check if there is new software available for your phone, on the start screen, swipe left, and tap Settings > phone update > check for updates.
