The IMEI number is used to uniquely identify phones and tablets within the mobile network. You may also need to give this number to Nokia Care services.
The quickest way to find the IMEI number is to read it from the small print when you remove the sim card tray. The number should be visible once the tray cover has been removed.
You may also find the IMEI number from within the operating system by following these steps:
- Swipe in from the right to open the charms.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Change PC settings > Network.
- Select the name of your broadband connection.
Note: If you do not have a SIM card in the unit, the name of the Mobile broadband connection will be 'Unnamed'.
