The built-in dictionary helps you to write messages quickly. When you start typing text, you will notice that your phone suggests words based on the letters you have typed so far. You can press the suggestion to add it to your message. If you would like the phone to recognize a particular word in the future, type the word, enter it, then press the plus sign (+) next to the word in the suggestion bar.
If you want the words not to be suggested or reset the personal dictionary on Windows Phone 7, here is how you do it:
- Select Start >Settings > Keyboard > under Choose keyboard languages, select input languages.
- Then press Typing settings, and tap on Keyboard input languages at the top of the screen. :
- In the new window, uncheck Suggest text and highlight misspelt words.
- Press the Back key to return to the Typing Settings.Reset suggestions will remove all the words that you have added to your suggestion list, but it will keep the ones that came with your phone.
If you have Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone 8, here is how you disable text suggestions when writing a message:If you do not want your phone to automatically offer suggestions when you write, go to Settings > Keyboard, tap your language keyboard, and clear the Suggest text check box.
