There are three ways to turn on or off the predictive text input on your device.

At any text entry screen, for example, in message editor, press and hold Options, predictive text is turned on or off, depending on its previous mode.

Or at any text entry screen, select Options > Predictive text (or Prediction, or Prediction options, or Dictionary).

At any text entry screen, for example, in message editor, press the “#” key twice quickly, then the predictive text is turned on or off, depending on its previous mode.
