Nokia announced its fifth generation of coherent DSPs in May 2020, expanding its Photonic Service Engine (PSE) product line with the PSE-V. Nokia is one of only two companies which have built five generations of DSPs, and this vertical integration experience is a key competitive advantage in the battle for next generation coherent solutions.
