The arrival of 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) technology gives service providers a viable way of delivering high-speed broadband to customers in both rural and urban environments where it is too costly or time consuming to draw fiber. As a mobile technology, FWA needs careful consideration for successful implementation. This paper examines the benefits and challenges for delivering a customer-pleasing 5G FWA service.
