This white paper provides an overview of 3GPP Release 18 enhancements. Overall, the 5G-Advanced Release 18 network slicing enhancements take network slicing to a more advanced stage where highly customized network slices can be deployed for localized and temporary coverage. The new features also help overcome challenges associated with pre-Release 18 network slicing by simplifying the operations of those network slices as well as associated network signaling.
