Enhancing telco security with proactive threat exposure management

In the fast-evolving telecoms industry, cyber threats pose significant risks to network integrity and business continuity. Traditional reactive security measures are increasingly inadequate against these sophisticated threats. Consequently, there is a growing need for self-learning defence technologies that can autonomously adapt to the behavioural patterns of malicious actors. To address this challenge, Nokia has taken incremental steps towards autonomous network capabilities by enhancing telco security with the upgraded NetGuard Cybersecurity Dome, a telco-centric Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution powered by generative AI. This case study explores how a large telecoms service provider utilized Nokia’s NetGuard Cybersecurity Dome to enhance their security posture through proactive threat hunting and advanced threat intelligence.
