How Telecom Argentina took a proactive stand to validate the security of its mobile network

Telecom Argentina operates a nationwide mobile network serving around 20 million mobile subscribers. As the network evolved through regular software updates, new roaming arrangements and shifting traffic patterns, different parts of the system began to interact in new ways. The team wanted a clearer sense of how their network would actually hold up against the kinds of threats operators face today. With that objective in mind, Telecom Argentina decided to carry out a realistic assessment of their security posture from an external perspective.
