Getting Started with Optical Network Automation
Start your journey toward optical network automation with an overview of network automation applications and areas that can benefit from automation. Next, we will cover the Nokia optical network automation ecosystem, consisting of several critical building blocks for eight essential use cases. After that, you will learn how to make these use cases possible by adopting a set of standard enablers, such as interfaces, protocols, and models for representing and encoding the accessible data.
The four most popular use cases of the eight we'll introduce are service provisioning, bandwidth on demand and calendaring, optimization and analysis, and analytics. You will see which building blocks are needed to support each of these use cases and how the building blocks are connected to enable the necessary communications to enable these applications.

Palo Alto Networks: Enabling advanced IT & OT security enforcement at the Industrial Edge with Nokia
As businesses embrace Private Wireless Networks and Edge Computing in their digital transformation journey, there is a perception that network security has already been addressed by the standards that define it. While 3GPP has done excellent work to secure the numerous interfaces used for communication within a mobile core, there are still steps that should be taken to bring visibility and security to the entire mobile network, including the users and the array of devices operating there.
Palo Alto Networks software Next-Generation Firewalls deployed on Nokia’s industrial edge platform (MXIE) use AI and ML to prevent sophisticated cyber threats in OT and IT environments, without adding physical hardware to the network. Our collaboration with Nokia enables advanced security on both the IT and OT sides of the network to bring a multi-factor zero trust model to the entire organization.
