    ]]>    Nokia is extending its longstanding partnership with Microsoft to accelerate network automation, announcing the development of an agentic, unified data foundation that supports faster, more reliable AI-driven operations for telecommunication providers.

    The collaboration combines Nokia Data Suite’s ready-to-use telco data products with Microsoft Fabric’s unified analytics, governance and AI capabilities, enabling intelligent, agent-based solutions across the network stack. Operators will be able to access high-quality, trusted data in minutes instead of weeks, simplifying complex data integration and significantly reducing time to insight.

    From fragmented data to scalable autonomy

    Nokia Data Suite provides prebuilt, reusable telco data products with glass-box data quality controls and telco-specific semantic modeling, ensuring transparency, explainability and trust in AI-driven decisions. Microsoft Fabric delivers a unified data platform with OneLake storage, analytics tools and AI-native apps such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Foundry and Power BI.

    By integrating these capabilities, operators can move from fragmented data environments to a more autonomous, scalable model. Nokia’s data products can be provisioned on demand and seamlessly combined with Microsoft Fabric’s enterprise, IT and third-party data sources, enabling broader AI use cases such as automated root-cause analysis and closed-loop operations to improve service quality and efficiency.

    The solution is designed for multi-vendor, cross-domain telecom environments and supports hybrid and cloud infrastructures, including on-premises deployments. This flexibility allows operators to meet regulatory requirements while advancing AI and automation strategies globally. It also addresses a key barrier to AI adoption in telecom networks by reducing the time required to prepare and operationalize data — a process that can take several weeks when performed by traditional methods.

    Strengthening a partnership in cloud, data, AI and cybersecurity

    This collaboration builds on Nokia and Microsoft’s existing partnership in cloud, data, AI and cybersecurity, supporting development and go-to-market activities for telecom customers. The solution is available now, with ongoing expansion of autonomous network use cases and customer deployments. Initial go-to-market examples include:

    • Autonomous VoNR (voice over new radio) assurance to detect and remedy service issues, where agents identify anomalies, run root cause analyses, and recommend actions with 360-degree observability (network, service and subscriber).

    • Geo-experience, which uses AI and machine learning to map RAN (radio access network) subscriber sessions to precise geographic locations, identify users experiencing degraded radio performance and pinpoint coverage or capacity hotspots. By correlating subscriber, network and RF data, this capability uses agents to analyze the root causes of RAN issues and provides actionable recommendations to improve the experience of both network-sliced and standard 4G/5G users.

    • Predictive maintenance and fault management, where agents analyze historical and real-time data to anticipate network issues before they impact customers.

    Throughout the process, AI-driven operational assistants act as copilots for network engineers, providing contextual insights, recommended actions and automated workflow execution across complex, cross-domain environments. As a result, operators can achieve higher levels of network autonomy while maintaining human oversight, enabling AI to take on increasingly complex operational responsibilities within clearly defined governance boundaries.

    Together, the companies will deliver resilient communications, secure information sharing and network interoperability across land, air, maritime, cyber and space domains. The collaboration also builds on Nokia Defense and C3IA's participation in the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) Tactical Communication Systems (TacSys) framework, providing access to Nokia’s full connectivity portfolio from headquarters to the tactical edge.

    Modern military operations increasingly depend on the ability to securely connect people, platforms, sensors and data across multiple domains.     ]]>    Nokia today announced that ESpanix, Spain's largest internet exchange point (IXP), has selected and deployed Nokia Deepfield Defender to protect its exchange platform and connected networks against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. The deployment enables ESpanix to offer DDoS protection as a new, optional value-added service to the more than 200 national and international networks that exchange traffic at the ESpanix Node and together serve the vast majority of internet end users in Spain.

    DDoS attacks continue to grow in size, frequency, and sophistication, with massive botnets of compromised IoT devices and weaponized residential proxies driving hyper-volumetric and application-layer attacks against networks, services, and end users. As the central crossroads of the Spanish internet, the ESpanix Node occupies a strategic position: stopping attack traffic at the exchange prevents it from ever reaching the networks — and the businesses, public services, and consumers — behind its ports.

    Nokia Deepfield Defender combines AI-driven, big data analytics of network telemetry with Deepfield Secure Genome®, Nokia's proprietary, cloud-based data feed that tracks the security context of the internet. Defender detects all types of DDoS attacks in seconds and drives automated, network-based mitigation with a very high degree of granularity — surgically removing only unwanted traffic while legitimate packets keep flowing. By unifying detection and mitigation in the network itself, ESpanix avoids rerouting member traffic to external scrubbing centers: attacks are identified and removed where the traffic flows, keeping Spanish internet traffic and the responsibility for securing it within Spain.

    The deployment extends a partnership that, in 2025, made ESpanix the first IXP in Spain to offer 400G connectivity to its customers, built on Nokia interconnect and service routers running over Nokia optical transport. With Deepfield Defender, ESpanix joins a growing group of leading European internet exchanges that use Nokia Deepfield to protect their members and to build new security services on top of their interconnection platforms. For exchanges, the deployment model has a multiplier effect: a single deployment at an exchange extends protection to every network that connects through it.

    ]]>    Nokia today announced the successful completion of a live trial of network tomography with Orange France, demonstrating how advanced optical network intelligence can help operators better understand, manage and optimize their transport networks to prepare for the growing demands of AI-driven services.

    Network tomography works like a health scan for optical networks. It gives operators a clearer view of what is happening across fiber links and wavelengths, without the need to install intrusive probes throughout the network. Powered by Nokia Bell Labs innovative algorithms, the solution imports and processes thousands of pieces of data sourced from coherent optical transmissions to gain near real-time insight into the condition of the overall network link by link.

    The trial helped identify issues such as fiber degradation, amplifier problems, configuration errors and other network conditions that could affect performance. By spotting these issues early, operators can validate their underlying network faster and take action before the customers SLAs are impacted.

    The trial also showed how network tomography can help operators make better use of their existing network capacity. By understanding the real condition of each optical link more accurately, operators can optimize performance, improve spectral efficiency and support more resilient services. This is an important step toward more automated optical networks, including AI-assisted operations and closed-loop automation.

    The solution also utilizes equipment already installed in the network, avoiding the need for field force interventions and significantly reducing its environmental impact.

    Nokia’s CO enhances site and asset intelligence for operational teams, whether they are managing and keeping a mine site connected, enabling emergency vehicles to share live incident awareness, or operating on the battlefield. These teams will benefit from AI-agentic assistance, a live 3D digital twin of operations, real-time video analytics, predictive maintenance and autonomous safety monitoring. The result is greater operational resilience, reduced downtime and continuous visibility. Nokia’s CO also creates a dynamic hybrid wireless network fabric with no single point of access failure, helping keep mission-critical operations running in the toughest environments.

    At the edge of the new platform is Nokia’s Cognitive Edge Node (CEN), a rugged network and edge compute platform that combines advanced connectivity, AI-driven multi-access networking and accelerated edge computing. With embedded on-device GPU-accelerated computing, the Cognitive Edge Node increases intelligence in field-deployed vehicles and remote locations.

The transfer is based on the resolution of the Board of Directors to issue shares held by the company to settle its commitments to participants of the incentive plans as announced on 2 October 2025.

    As mobile networks evolve to support AI-driven services, automation, and increasingly demanding enterprise applications, operators need faster, more practical ways to evaluate opportunities for innovation. Mobile Core Early Access was created to address these challenges, allowing participants to see how new capabilities operate in practice. The collaboration enables network-based verification that replaces SMS one-time passcodes with a simpler, more secure way for patients to access digital healthcare services on their mobile devices.

    Owned by Mehiläinen, one of Europe’s leading private healthcare providers, BeeHealthy offers a configurable, white-label SaaS platform used by healthcare and veterinary care providers, social-care organizations and insurers in countries such as Finland, Sweden, Germany, Estonia, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates. Nokia’s Network as Code brings together operator networks into a single, developer-friendly platform, allowing enterprises to access trusted network capabilities at scale and embed them directly into their apps.

    The agreement makes BeeHealthy the first healthcare-sector commercial customer for Nokia’s Network as Code platform. For operators, it represents a new, monetizable enterprise use case for network APIs, and it continues the commercial momentum shown at MWC26, where Nokia announced a growing list of new and expanded partnerships in the field.

    Using Network as Code, BeeHealthy will replace SMS one-time passcodes with a seamless number verification system at log-in and booking — one that operates silently in the background and requires no manual effort from users.     In addition to Number Verification, other Network as Code APIs being embedded into BeeHealthy’s patient and professional apps include SIM Swap/Number Recycling to help prevent account takeover fraud and keep customer registries up to date; Location Verification to support appointment-management use cases and reduce missed appointments; and KYC Match to validate a new user’s identity against trusted network data during onboarding in select markets. The center will create software that enables communications networks to self-configure, self-heal, optimize performance, reduce energy consumption and operate with greater autonomy.

    The center will specialize in Service Management and Orchestration (SMO), Self-Organizing Networks (SON), Autopilot and rApps for automation and energy efficiency. Its teams will develop AI-driven capabilities for communications service providers and enterprises in Saudi Arabia, while exploring the development of AI-native 6G technologies, and contributing “Made in Saudi” software innovations for Nokia customers worldwide.

    ]]>    Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) launched Zankore by Indosat, and is collaborating with Ooredoo Group, Nokia, and NVIDIA, to build the next generation of AI infrastructure for a global market, with Asia-Pacific as its launchpad.

    The collaboration is designed to meet the region's rapidly growing demand for secure and scalable AI computing, while advancing Indonesia's position as a regional AI hub. With a deployment target of 1 gigawatt (GW) of NVIDIA DSX AI Factory capacity, Zankore by Indosat lays the foundation for one of the region’s largest AI infrastructure platforms which will enable the next phase of agentic and enterprise AI adoption at scale.

    Zankore by Indosat is building one of Southeast Asia’s largest AI factory platforms for the nation, using NVIDIA DSX, the reference architecture, platform and ecosystem playbook for designing and operating AI factories. DSX brings accelerated computing, networking, power, cooling and operations together as one system to maximize useful AI output from every available megawatt. Zankore will deliver approximately 200 megawatts (MW) of AI capacity in the first half of 2027, powered by NVIDIA GB300 NVL72. The platform will also incorporate NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS, which dynamically optimizes power across the GPU fleet to recover stranded power and increase compute capacity within the available facility power envelope. MaxLPS is designed to enable up to 40% more compute within the same power budget, increasing Zankore’s capacity to serve customers and generate revenue.

    This partnership brings together distinct expertise from each partner. Ooredoo Group provides long-term capital, and regional scale as lead investor and platform sponsor. Indosat brings trusted market leadership, digital infrastructure, and execution capabilities to accelerate AI adoption in Indonesia. NVIDIA powers the platform with accelerated computing, AI software, next-generation GPU access, and its global AI ecosystem, while Nokia delivers AI-native networking for secure, high-performance AI infrastructure.
