Nokia Maps 3.06 - Do I need a GPS position to get safety spot warnings in Maps?

Yes, the Safety Spots Warner (Safety Spot Alert) feature does not work without a GPS reception because the driver's position can't be determined. In this case no safety spot warnings are indicated even if there are safety spots on the planned route.

You should obey all local laws while driving. Some jurisdictions prohibit or regulate the use of speed/safety camera location data. Nokia is not responsible for the accuracy, or the consequences of use of speed/safety camera location data. Your first consideration while driving should be road safety.
