Nokia Deepfield DDoS Security Solution - infographic
Nokia Deepfield Defender is an AI-driven DDoS detection and automated mitigation solution that turns the IP network itself into a security instrument.
It combines real-time network telemetry (BGP, DNS, flow, streaming) with Nokia's patented Deepfield Secure Genome — a continuously updated, cloud-based data feed that tracks the security context of the global internet across more than five billion IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, with hourly updates and over 100 machine-learning classification rules — to detect volumetric, application-layer, botnet, carpet-bombing, and reflection/amplification attacks with high accuracy and very low false-positive rates.
When an attack is identified, Defender's AI-driven decision engine generates an optimized mitigation strategy in seconds and pushes it inline to programmable Nokia IP routers - the FP5- and FP4-based 7750 Service Router (SR) family, the FPcx-based 7730 Service Interconnect Router (SXR)family, and the 7250 Interconnect Router (IXR) family), and/or to the dedicated FP5-based 7750 Defender Mitigation System (DMS), and/or to select third-party routers — eliminating the need to backhaul traffic to a scrubbing center.
The result is 360-degree protection at petabit scale for service providers, internet exchanges, cloud and AI builders, research-and-education networks, and large digital enterprises, with materially better scalability, detection accuracy, mitigation granularity, and total cost of ownership than legacy appliance- or DPI-centric solutions.
