Adaptive time slot partitioning for relay enhanced cellular
01 January 2011
Many resource partitioning and allocation schemes for OFDMA cellular system have been proposed to alleviate inter-cell Interference. However, majority of them focus primarily in frequency domain. In this paper, we consider sectored cells with fixed half-duplex FDD relay nodes in base coverage urban scenario. We study different inter-cell interference situations at first. Then we propose an adaptive relay time slot ratio (ARTSR) partitioning scheme to reduce system interference level with low complexity. Our scheme changes the ratio of transmitting slot to receiving slot at RN and fully optimizes time-frequency resource allocation. Simulation results verify that, the uplink cell capacity of our scheme is higher than those of frequency partitioning based resource assigning methods.
