An Efficient Method for the Optimization of Overseas Telecommunications Network Topology

This paper describes a methodology for planning the evolution of AT&T worldwide intelligent network topology. The procedure deploys fiber optic technology in a cost effective way in order to meet growing international voice and data circuit demand. The proposed method allows the planners to expand the existing overseas cable network by selecting new cable sites, installation times, and cable types.
