An Overview of CONES - VLSI and Initial Technology Synthesis.

As an important part of its commitment to interval reduction, improved design quality, and, most importantly, making design more fun, the Advanced Design Process Group of Laboratory 5561 has developed a tool, called CONES, which synthesizes PLD and PLA based circuits for C-language behavioral models. This tool still in its early test phase, promises to bring about significant changes for the better in the digital design task. This memo provides an overview of CONES and the role we expect it to play in the design process.
