Analysis of Inclusions in Plated Films - Some Recent Developments

Trace amounts of inclusions play a decisive role in determining physical characteristics of electrodeposited films, and yet fundamental understanding of the effect of inclusions is often hindered by difficulties in identifying and determining the included compounds. In this lecture some progress made recently in the analysis of electroless copper and electrolytic hard gold deposits for inclusions will be reviewed.
