The AT&T 3B4000 Computer System is a multi-processor system that runs a distributed version of AT&T's UNIX System V Operating System. This architecture offers selective growth capabilities of computation power, file service, terminals, data communication, while still presenting a single virtual UNIX system interface. That is, the user view of the system is of a single uniprocessor UNIX system.
