The AT&T Library Network demonstrates our "electronic window," which is a way of providing all professional employees throughout AT&T with access to a vast array of internal and external information services. The showcase features two of our electronic database access components, LINUS, the Library Network's User Service and the library command. LINUS is an information retrieval service that allows AT&T employees to search the databases made available through the Library Network directly from their office or home via a terminal or personal computer. LINUS gives its users immediate access to information regarding the most current books and journals held in the AT&T Library Network, as well as internal documents, technical reports, published technical papers, and AT&T archival materials, including photographs.
