AT&T Network Services Architecture Capabilities, Administration and Performance

This paper describes an advanced AT&T network services architecture which provides the capability to implement a wide variety of advanced and individualized services in a telecommunications network. This architecture, based on a database system, Common Channel Signaling (CCS), specialized stored program controlled switches, and service management systems provides customers the ability to tailor services to their individual needs and to construct, monitor and change the services in near real time.
