(U) The Nationwide Emergency Telecommunications Service (NETS) is a national-level program of the National Communications System (NCS). The NETS program will provide National Security and Emergency Preparedness (NSEP) telecommunications during a crisis situation. It is to be based on the Public Switched Network (PSN) facilities and services with additional resources added for enhanced routing and security.
