Chemical bonding, kinetics and the approach to equilibrium structures of simple metallic, molecular and network microclusters.

This paper will appear in a forthcoming thematic issue of Chemical Reviews on gas-phase clusters X(n) (5>=n=1000). It discusses concentration profiles of clusters obtained by adiabatic expansion quenching, with primary emphasis on peaks in these profiles. Only elemental clusters are discussed (inert gases, simple and transition metals, and network formers (C, Si, Ge)).
