Coherence Established between Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide and Global Temperature

To resolve the controversy over whether the increasing quantities of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have produced observable changes in the climate, we apply modern methods of data analysis to the Hansen-Lebedeff global temperature and Keeling carbon dioxide records. We find that average global temperature is increasing and short time scale variations in the two series are significantly correlated.
