Coherent Intradyne Opto-Electro-Optic Spectral Inverter and its Application for SPM Mitigation

We report on a coherent intradyne oeo spectral inverter and wavelength converter. A 2.4 and 1.1 dB increase in nonlinear-threshold has been found for midspan spectral inversion of a 16QAM 224Gb/s channel in a single channel and DWDM experiment.
