Colorimetric determination of the concentration of copper-diketone complex in kerosene.
01 January 1988
Phenyl alkyl beta-diketone has been found to be an effective complexing agent for copper recovery from printed circuit board spent etchants, ammoniacal leaches of copper bearing scrap, copper sulfide concentrates, and copper/lead dross in lead smelting. It also makes possible the direct transfer of cupric ions from spent etchants to plating baths. To properly control this process, a convenient technique for determining the copper-diketone concentration is desirable.
