Construction, instantiation and analysis of a comprehensive business ecosystem for autonomic future networks

Future networks are expected to tackle a diverse range of technical challenges, as well as include the intelligence required to adapt the architecture to the varying requirements of users and devices. This technological evolution will allow for the emergence of disruptive business models and industrial structures. This paper focus in defining and analysing several business scenarios in order to study the impacts of introducing autonomic networks. By identifying the business roles and relationships between them as well as the business and strategic issues that may arise in each scenario, we aim at establishing a common business ecosystem ontology that reflects the challenges of autonomicity in a fixed/wireless converged telecom world.
