Controlled Surface Contamination to Determine Surface Sensitivity of HVICs

We developed a technique to deposit a controllable level of contamination, as low as 10 sup 8 atoms/cm sup 2 on semiconductor devices. This technique was used to determine the sensitivity of ahigh voltage PIN diode to surface charges.
