Data-Mining in Cellular Networks for Network Optimization; catalogue entry for Bell Labs Open Day, November 19, 2013

Radio signal measurements during ongoing network connections are a rich information source that can teach us a lot about the actual deployment of a cellular network. This is especially true when these radio link measurements are combined with further user context information, such as geographic position and user activity level. It appears to be a promising approach for network operators to use this treasure for new network functions and for new business concepts.
