Demonstration of a Symmetrical 10/10 Gbit/s XGPON2 System

The paper reports a full system demonstration of a FSAN XG-PON2 system, which integrates the medium access control and physical layer incorporating 10Gbit/s burst mode upstream transmission. A specific challenge was the hardware design of the FEC.
