Dendritic Sidegroups as Three-Dimensional Barriers to Aggregation Quenching of Conjugated Polymer Fluorescence

In this paper, we report a novel molecular design approach to suppress aggregation quenching of conjugated polymer fluorescence using three-dimensional barriers based on dendritic sidegroups. Photophysical measurements indicate that the photoluminescence quantum efficiency is increased dramatically when higher generation dendrons are used.
