This contribution presents the design and optimization of a low-profile cavity resonator. The proposed technology offers coaxial cavity resonators with low profile. The resonator consists of a cavity enclosure and three metallic conductors; an outer hollow cylinder, an inner hollow cylinder protruding the cavity from the opposite side of the first conductor and a third metallic post. The design of the resonator is based on an equivalent circuit. The resonator optimization is based on full-wave CAD tools. The proposed resonators have an electrical length of ~l0/16 and are profile versatile with high performance. The versatility in terms of physical volume of the resonator is demonstrated. A 600 MHz resonator with a profile of 26 mm is designed. The resonator is used to design a 5 pole filter.
