Design Considerations for a Practical Electrostatic Micro Motor

In this paper we explore the notion of an electrostatic motor further and present two preliminary designs; one for a linear electrostatic motor and one for a rotary electrostatic motor. These designs are by no means final and are instead, preliminary structures to demonstrate and study the feasibility of electrostatic forces for actuation.
