Design of Optimal Fir Filters

There are several instances when we wish to impose inequality constraints on the Fourier Transform of a function. Since Fourier transform is obtained essentially by applying a linear operator to the original function, our constraints in effect define a set of linear inequalities on the original function. In addition, one could also impose linear equality constraints on the original variables.
