Design of Two Level Concentration Network Using T1 Facilities

This paper presents a method of dealing with two level concentrators using T1 facilities. Our approach is to model the problem by clustering nodes with predetermined upper level concentrators. A heuristic algorithm is presented to determine the optimum sites of the lower level concentrators and the number of T1 facilities. The algorithm also finds optimum routings for each circuit.
