Determination of the Unit in Rapid Action Sequences (NOT KNOWN IF TALK GIVEN BECAUSE AUTHOR HAS LEFT AT&T)

In an attempt to identify the action in prepared sequences of rapidly executed keystrokes, we compare the distribution of time between successive strokes in sequences that differ in length. Our method treats the interstroke time distribution as a mixture, and relies on a theory of sequence control previously developed for speech as well as typewriting.
