Deuterium NMR of solid polymers.

This chapter is intended for polymer chemists and polymer physicists. Its purpose is to illustrate the types of detailed, molecular level information provided by deuterium NMR spectroscopy of bulk polymers. The chapter is divided into two parts. The deuterium NMR experiment is described in the first section, concentrating on the information content of the lineshape and on the information to be obtained from relaxation experiments. In the second part, deuterium NMR is used to address key questions in polymer science.
