In preparation for the deployment of a new long distance call processing system: Operator Services Position System (OSPS), the AT&T Eastern Region Operator Services organization commissioned a Task Force. The charge of the Task Force was to develop an organization design recommendation that would provide more efficient and optimal User Support in the new OSPS data systems used in alignment with the current long distance call processing technology was segmented under various staff organizations.
