Development of fine fringes along the strandlike domains in the charge-density waves states of NbSe3 by electron beam irradiation.
01 January 1984
Fine fringes that developed along the strandlike domains in the charge-density wave states of NbSe3 after prolonged electron beam irradiation are found to be due to radiation damages induced by the incident high energy electrons. The appearance of fringes is found to be permanent and irreversible with thermal cyclings. The radiation damage is believed to be electronic in origin.
